Desktop Gadget are small and light weighted application that can run on your desktop. The latest version of windows(Vista) provide the sidebar that contain gadgets. Desktop gadget can also be created by the Google api, that works with Google desktop. Yahoo widget api can also be used to create desktop widget.
Recently, I got chance to work with gadgets, Basic implementation of google gadget was simple after reading the tutorial they have provided, but our requirement was slightly different. We were trying to embed the flash rich interafce in gadget, After a one day hard work , I was able to find the solution for this problem, Now we have a google gadget that have flash embed in it.
Now the next big thing in our basket is to create vista gadget having flash embed in it.
